In the Catholic tradition, we honor the blessed Mother Mary throughout May. The Rosary is recited and flowers are offered. Typically the celebration culminates in a SantaCruzan, this is a re-enactment of finding the True Cross, the Cross where Jesus died and which was found by Reyna Elena. That day is celebrated with Holy Mass followed by a procession with numerous children and young women and many freshly cut flowers.
