Worship

COORDINATOR: Sis. Rachel Buerano

  • This ministry takes care of the planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring all liturgical celebrations in the parish in coordination with the parish priest as the chief liturgist together with organizations under the ministry’s care.
  • The organizations under the Worship Ministry are responsible for all liturgical celebrations especially the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
  • The following organizations are under this ministry:

  1. Lectors, Commentators, & Psalmists Ministry (LCPM)

COORDINATOR: Sis. Rosalinda Factularin

Lectors are appointed to read the word of God in the liturgical assembly. Lectors read the Sacred Scripture, except the Gospel, in the Mass and in other sacred celebrations; Psalmists sing/recite the psalms between the readings, lectors present the intentions for general intercessions; and may also direct the congregation in song. If necessary, lectors also assume the responsibility of instructing any of the faithful called upon to read the Scriptures in any liturgical celebration. Commentators read the mass intentions before the mass and lead the community in actively participating in the mass through the recitation of the responses.

  1. Eucharistic Ministers of the Holy Communion (EMHC)

COORDINATOR: Bro. Oliver Domingo

Eucharistic ministers assist the priest in administering the sacraments of holy communion, the consecrated bread and wine. They may also take the sacraments to those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass. They also work in support with the priest during liturgical celebrations inside and outside the church like processions, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the like. They also lead the celebration of the Word of God in the absence of the priest. They also lead the community in praying during holy hour.

  1. Knights of the Altar (KOA)

COORDINATOR: Bro. John Patrick Daga-ang

Members of KOA serve mainly during Holy Mass as they assist the priest in the whole celebration. They ring the bell during processional, consecration and recessional as well. They prepare the altar table for the celebration of the liturgy of the Eucharist. They assist the priest through giving the water and the wine during the offertory. They help the priest and the EMHC during the communion part of the mass. Young as they are, through their service they are developing a better connection to the Mass and really appreciate its significance.

  1. Music Ministry (MM)

COORDINATOR: Sis. Josephine Mayuga

The music ministry is generally expressed as service to the church encouraging believers, praising and worshipping God and sharing the message of the gospel through songs are all. Choir members are the ones responsible in creating line-up of songs to be sung during different liturgical celebrations most especially during celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. They seek guidance from the priest if the songs they prepare are in line with the celebration’s theme or with the message of the Gospel so as to lead the community in praying. They give life to all celebrations as they offer their singing of the songs for the glory of God.

  1. Mother Butler Guild (MBG)

COORDINATOR: Sis. Psyche Manundo

Members of the MBG serve the parish by providing and caring for the linens and vestments used for the Holy Mass. Members also serve their parishes in whatever capacity their parish may deem necessary. Specifically, members of MBG take care of the preparation of the altar, from the altar cloth to the candles and other linens and sacramentals needed during the celebration of the Holy Mass. They are also responsible for arranging and putting these things back in their place. Washing, ironing and keeping all vestments and sacramentals orderly are part of their tasks.

  1. Ministry of Ushers & Greeters

COORDINATOR: Sis. Jessica de Vera

The specific responsibilities of ushers/usherettes vary with the church, but their duties usually include greeting people as they arrive for the service, assisting people with special needs, and receiving the offering. They guide the community during communion for a smooth flow of those who will receive the Body of Christ till they return to their respective seats. They are also in charge of the collection during the mass.
